The pommel and one of the grips are marked with the Union of South Africa Ownership stamp (see photos). The pommel, crossguard and tang retain 90% original finish. The wood grips are in very good condition. The blade is in excellent condition. The brown steel mounted leather scabbard is in very good condition with all stitching in tact. The top mount retains 95% original finish, the bottom mount has very little finish
